MediaHub Desktop 0.2.3-beta Released

MediaHub Desktop 0.2.3-beta is now available for Windows, with a focus on improving Accounts stability, connection handling and reliability when adding or changing IPTV and Media Server accounts.

MediaHub Desktop 0.2.3-beta is now available for Windows.

This is primarily a bug-fix and stability release, with most of the work focused around the Accounts section.

A few users had reported instability when adding or changing IPTV accounts, particularly when incorrect details were entered or actions were performed quickly while a connection was still being processed.

I had also seen similar behaviour myself during testing, so this release includes a wider pass over the account connection workflow.

What’s changed

MediaHub Desktop 0.2.3-beta includes:

Improved stability when adding or changing IPTV accounts Better handling of incorrect usernames, passwords and server addresses A fix for rememberCoroutineScope left the composition errors during account connection Failed account changes now leave the existing working account in place Protection against multiple connection attempts being started at the same time Improved connection progress and user-facing error messages Improved Jellyfin and Emby account change behaviour General Accounts screen reliability improvements

One of the more important changes is around replacing an existing account.

Previously, if an existing IPTV account was already connected and incorrect replacement details were entered, the UI could incorrectly behave as though the new connection had succeeded because the old session was still active.

That behaviour has now been corrected.

If a replacement account fails to connect, MediaHub will keep the existing working account in place and leave the account form open so the details can be corrected.

Updating

Existing MediaHub Desktop Beta users should receive the update through the built-in update system.

The latest installer can also be downloaded manually from:

As always, MediaHub Desktop is still in Beta, so feedback from different Windows systems and account setups is very useful.
