Install on Android TV / Google TV

Install the MediaHub APK and complete first launch on Android TV or Google TV devices.

Before you start

Download the Android TV APK from the Downloads page. The exact method for installing an APK varies by device manufacturer.

Install the APK

  1. Copy or transfer the APK to the Android TV / Google TV device.
  2. Allow installation from the file-manager or transfer app when Android asks.
  3. Open the APK and choose Install.
  4. Launch MediaHub from the TV launcher.

First connection

Normal MediaHub lets you connect IPTV by entering the Xtream server address, username and password. Managed MediaHub may already have the provider address and will then show only username and password.

For Jellyfin or Emby, enter the server address unless it has been supplied by a managed deployment. Plex continues to use its normal TV linking flow.

Android VPN permission

If you use MediaHub's VPN feature, Android displays the platform VPN-consent prompt the first time a VPN connection is created. This is expected and cannot be bypassed by MediaHub Management.
